Releasing Your Inner Critic

– it’s time for some creative play
have you ever wondered what would have happened if you did this thing or that one when you were younger, where would you be now because of that? But because you did not, your life might have turned out different then what you have imagined it to be, and now you think you are finally ready to start, but you don’t know if you have the guts to just jump in.
We are all creative beings and we were all born with a gift to create. This gift that we have been given to us is there because we have the ability to create our life the way we want it to be. But we also are born with a mind, that might tell us not to do something because we might fail anyway. It is through failure and some successes that we learn to navigate through life better, so not listening to the inner critic is very essential indeed. Creative play helps you silence that inner critic, or at least to shut him up for a while. When we use our canvas to play and create, it does not mean that we have to sell that masterpiece that we end up with, it only means that for the time being, when we can shut up that voice in our head that says that nothing will come out of this, we are taking a big leap towards freedom, freedom to create and do what we like, the way we want it and see what will come out of it. Even if we just remember what we saw or liked and try to recreate it, we are still using our imagination to set our wings free to visualize what we like. With practice, we can actually tap into our place of a deeper consciousness where we find our true essence and listen to the things that move us, open our hearts and make us sing.We can let go of our inner blocks and boundaries and trust that everything will come out alright in the end.
